About The Position

Medical Oncology Associates of San Diego is a proud partner of One Oncology's network of the nations leading oncology practices. We are looking for talented and highly-motivated individuals who demonstrate a natural desire to support the meaningful work of community oncologists and the patients we serve. In this role you will support the efficient operation of the practice by accurately scheduling and coordinating complex infusion center appointments. The position ensures a safe and seamless patient experience through active collaboration with patients, providers, nursing teams, and leadership.

Requirements

• Experience working in Oncology, infusion center, dialysis, surgery setting.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Two (2) years of relevant experience working in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of Oncology, Infusion, dialysis, and/or procedure scheduling.
• Experience with authorization.
• Experience with scheduling with an electronic health record system.
• Bilingual: English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and coordinating complex infusion center appointments including physician visits, lab, infusion and injection appointments for patients.
• Close collaboration with patients, providers, nursing teams, and leaders.
• Ensure accurate and safe treatments and to facilitate a seamless patient journey.
• Verifying insurance and authorization department clearances.
• Updating patient demographics.
• Reviewing and updating work queues and inbox messages.
• Other duties as assigned.

Benefits

• Pay Range: $24-$30 an hour.
