We are seeking a full-time Infusion Pharmacy Technician to support the preparation and delivery of compounded sterile medications in a clean-room environment.  This position will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role requires strict adherence to safety protocols, company procedures, and confidentiality standards.  This is a full-time position with hours of 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Computer literate, skilled in basic math, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in retail pharmacy, compounding, or related medical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Compound medications in a clean-room environment under general supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Assist with processing IV orders in CareTend when needed.
  • Pick orders from Compounding Record and/or Delivery Ticket, reviews for accuracy.
  • Ensure appropriate refill of orders.
  • Provide clients with drug information sheets, pump literature, etc.
  • Program infusion pumps according to orders.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory; orders and updates computer inventory as needed.
  • Process returns
  • Ensure adequate supply of disposable items and ensure kits are stocked and ready to be "picked."
  • Provide annual preventative maintenance on infusion pumps, and documents actions accordingly.
  • Take responsibility for self-protection while working in hazardous situations, and practices universal precautions.
  • Understand importance of the Improvement Organization Performance program.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and rights.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
