About The Position

At MUSC, oncology care is more than treatment—it’s a journey. We’re looking for an Infusion & Oncology RN Manager who thrives at the intersection of clinical excellence, coordination, and human connection. This role is ideal for an oncology nurse leader who wants to deeply partner with a dedicated disease team and ensure patients experience seamless, high-quality care at every stage of therapy. As the Oncology RN Manager, you’ll work consistently with a specific multidisciplinary oncology team , serving as a central hub for patient care coordination. You’ll help guide patients smoothly from diagnosis through treatment, survivorship, or palliative care—making sure nothing falls through the cracks and every transition feels intentional and supported.

Requirements

  • Previous oncology nursing experience preferred
  • Infusion nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required)
  • Active RN licensure with the South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state (required)
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification (required or must be obtained)
  • Current BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all clinical care within the oncology clinic to maximize patient safety, quality outcomes, and satisfaction—for both patients and colleagues
  • Utilize the nursing process ( Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation ) to coordinate patient care in the clinic setting
  • Manage and support: Order entry and EPIC In Basket communication Patient education and individualized care planning Appointment coordination and follow-up Transitions between systems, locations, and therapies (Radiation Oncology, Surgery, Chemotherapy, Palliative Care, Survivorship)
  • Provide hands-on clinical support, including: Patient triage Medication administration Assisting with procedures Ongoing care coordination during clinic visits
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, and shared accountability
