Job Overview: This role primarily supports our pediatric hematology patients by administering infusion treatments in a warm and supportive environment. Additional responsibilities include supporting our general pediatric team with vaccinations and maintaining accurate clinical documentation in the EMR system.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in pediatric care
• IV therapy experience required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with EMR systems
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with children and families

Responsibilities

• Administer IV infusion therapy to pediatric patients with hematologic conditions
• Monitor patients before, during and after infusion for any reactions or side effects
• Provide emotional support to pediatric patients and their families
• Administer routine childhood vaccinations as needed
• Document all patient interactions treatments, and outcomes accurately in the EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, and administrative staff to ensure quality care and smooth clinic operations
