We are seeking a full-time Oncology Nurses for Eastern CT Hematology and Oncology located in Norwich, CT.

Requirements

• Current RN license through the state of CT
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required
• Ability to stand for the duration of shift and move quickly throughout the infusion center

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience accessing ports and placing IV lines
• Previous experience in Oncology and working with an oncology EMR preferred

Responsibilities

• Clearly and accurately documents pertinent information in the patient's medical record.
• Consistently demonstrates effective documentation practices and develops strategies to ensure complete documentation of patient care
• Completes timely and ongoing patient assessments and responses to treatments serving as a key participant on the treatment team
• Works closely with APRNs and Doctors to ensure appropriate and prescribed treatment plans are followed
• Oversee triage responsibilities when scheduled
• Deliver teaches to patients on a variety of different subject matters and medication procedures
• Administer chemotherapy administration as well as immunotherapy, intravenous gamma globulin, iron infusions and growth factor support
