About The Position

Columbus Arthritis Center is seeking to fill an RN position for our NEW infusion department located on Taylor Station Road. The position will be 4 weekdays from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Collects, analyzes, and documents vital signs in EHR Provides education and support to Infusion Center patients Initiates, maintains, and monitors patient IV's Administers medications Mixes medications Monitors patients for signs and symptoms of a medication reaction and responds appropriately Documents medications given to include drug name, dose, route, lot number, and expiration date in EHR Triages telephone calls Other Duties This job description is not all-inclusive of the activities, tasks, duties, or responsibilities required of the associate in this job. Requirements

  • Current, unencumbered licensure to practice as an RN in the state of Ohio
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification compliant with the American Heart Association.
  • Must be proficient at typing on a keyboard
  • Must have a general understanding of the appropriate disposal of hazardous waste materials such as blood, sharps, etc., as outlined in the OSHA manual

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an infusion center preferred, but not required
  • Previous experience using electronic medical records desirable, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Collects, analyzes, and documents vital signs in EHR
  • Provides education and support to Infusion Center patients
  • Initiates, maintains, and monitors patient IV's
  • Administers medications
  • Mixes medications
  • Monitors patients for signs and symptoms of a medication reaction and responds appropriately
  • Documents medications given to include drug name, dose, route, lot number, and expiration date in EHR
  • Triages telephone calls
