About The Position

We seek home infusion field nurses (RNs) with experience in various infusion therapies, venous access, and phlebotomy for cases throughout the Mid/Lower Hudson Valley (Orange/Rockland/Westchester/Putnam/Dutchess). Nurses are critical to the healthcare services we provide directly to clients. We are seeking to hire Registered Nurses whose direct support, knowledge, skills, and expertise will enable our company to grow, adapt, and expand into new areas of home-based nursing services. This infusion field nurse would be responsible for conducting patient visits to initiate patient care, performing follow-up visits as needed, and precepting and evaluating the skills of newly hired nurses as requested. The Home Infusion Nurse will partner with our Infusion Intake Team to ensure seamless initiation of infusion care in patients' homes.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience as a registered nurse in a home care infusion company, hospital, clinic, or medical facility.
  • NYS Registered Nursing License and Registration Certificate.
  • BLS necessary/ACLS preferred.
  • Up-to-date medical clearance including Physical, TB Clearance/QuantiFERON Gold blood test, 2-step PPD or T-Spot, or Chest X-ray.
  • MMR-Varicella Titers Lab Report or Vaccination Records.
  • TDAP Vaccine - Hep B Vaccination Series, Titers OR Declination.
  • Urine Drug Screen (UDS) - within the last year is acceptable.
  • Flu Vaccination (if applicable) or Declination.
  • Two (2) forms of government-approved ID to validate employment eligibility.
  • Two (2) satisfactory professional references.
  • Malpractice Insurance.
  • Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Knowledge of principles & practices of supervision, performance evaluation, and education.
  • Knowledge of Federal HIPAA Regulations.
  • Knowledge of standard nursing policies, procedures, methods, and techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret clinical documents, including physicians' orders and treatment plans.
  • Ability to participate in a multi-disciplinary health care team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient visits to initiate patient care.
  • Perform follow-up visits as needed.
  • Precept and evaluate the skills of newly hired nurses as requested.
  • Partner with the Infusion Intake Team to ensure seamless initiation of infusion care in patients' homes.
  • Educate the patient and/or family in therapy administration via IV.
  • Monitor patient safety and conduct post-infusion follow-up.
  • Communicate with patients, families, infusion pharmacy, and medical providers as necessary.
  • Conduct on-site field visits to provide patient care.
  • Supervise the competence of nursing staff upon request.
  • Maintain clinical documentation using a computer and tablet.

Benefits

  • Pay: $50.00+ per hour (base) - Cases pay $60-$150+ based on the level of care provided.
  • Expected hours: Minimum 10 hours per week (home visit cases).
