About The Position

The Infusion Homecare Nurse (RN) position at Always Compassionate Health is a per-diem role focused on providing infusion therapy and nursing care to patients in their homes. The nurse will be responsible for patient visits, initiating care, performing follow-ups, and evaluating the skills of newly hired nurses. Requirements

• At least 3 years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience as a registered nurse in a home care infusion company, hospital, clinic, or medical facility.
• NYS Registered Nursing License and Registration Certificate.
• BLS certification necessary; ACLS preferred.
• Up-to-date medical clearance including Physical, TB Clearance, and Flu Vaccination (if applicable).
• Two forms of government-approved ID to validate employment eligibility.
• Two satisfactory professional references.
• Malpractice Insurance.
• Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Supervisory or managerial experience.
• Experience with portable IV pumps, Broviac lines, and accessing implanted ports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for patients.
• Perform PIV, PICC, Mid & Central line care, and access competence.
• Educate patients and families on therapy administration via IV infusion.
• Prepare and administer IV infusion therapy.
• Monitor patient safety and conduct post-infusion follow-ups.
• Communicate with patients, families, infusion pharmacy, and medical providers as necessary.
• Collaborate with the infusion manager and coordinators.
• Perform on-site field visits to provide patient care and supervise nursing staff as requested.
• Maintain clinical documentation using a computer and tablet.
