Cancer Partners of Nebraska is seeking a compassionate and experienced Infusion Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated oncology team in Kearney, NE. As an Infusion Certified Pharmacy Technician, you'll help compound and prepare infusion medications, support compliance with USP-800 guidelines, and contribute to the safe and effective care of our patients undergoing cancer treatment. Requirements

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician license in Nebraska - REQUIRED
  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Minimum 1 year of IV compounding experience
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Knowledge of IV medications, supplies, and safety procedures

Responsibilities

  • Compound IV medications using aseptic technique in a cleanroom environment
  • Ensure compliance with USP-800 for the safe handling of hazardous drugs
  • Maintain cleanliness and documentation logs in IV room (cleaning, temperature, waste, inventory)
  • Perform accurate calculations to measure and mix chemotherapy, biotherapy, and other infusion medications
  • Maintain and track infusion equipment and pharmaceutical inventory
  • Accurately enter medication information into the Nucleus System
  • Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials per OSHA and NIOSH standards
  • Assist with ordering and restocking of medications and supplies
  • Collaborate with pharmacy, nursing, and administrative teams to ensure timely, safe delivery of therapy
  • Participate in the training of new staff as needed
  • Support quality assurance processes and compliance with CPN policies
