RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides initial Level II call support for the Service Desk including monitoring of workflow and proper incident escalation. Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves issues for personal computer users. Enforces hardware and software standards to meet computer users business requirements. Assists in the development of processes and procedures. Participates in IT Services project planning and implementation processes. Configures and installs computer equipment. Plans and executes standardization of the personal computing environment for business integrations and acquisitions. Trains computer users in various computer-related skills. Requires some travel. QUALIFICATIONS: Required Two years post high school technical education or 2 years’ relevant experience in a Service Desk/Help Desk environment. Successful completion of at least one formal course in computer basics or equivalent experience. A working knowledge of the following PC software: Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel Microsoft PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, Outlook, and Internet Explorer. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Demonstrated initiative to work independently and with a team. Demonstrated adaptability to change. Ability to install or replace board level components in personal computers. Basic understanding of computer networks and components, including wireless technologies. Demonstrated group presentation skills. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $22.00-$30.75 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
