The Technician I - Infrastructure is responsible for reading blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including the location, quantities, and sizes of materials required. This role involves identifying all tools required for tasks and recognizing safety risks along with the precautions necessary to eliminate those risks. The position requires the technician to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using various tools. Additionally, the technician will build closets, install grounding for racks and equipment, and observe the functioning of installed equipment to determine hazards and necessary adjustments. The technician will also be responsible for the effective performance of the crew, providing necessary training, and ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and on time.

  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using tools such as rules and conduit benders.
  • Build closets and install backboards.
  • Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cable as required.
  • Observe functioning of installed equipment to determine hazards and need for adjustments.
  • Fabricate and install rigid & aluminum, E.M.T., plasti-bond, and P.V.C. conduit.
  • Use mechanical and hydraulic benders to fabricate and install conduit supports.
  • Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems.
  • Assume responsibility for effective performance of crew and provide necessary training.
  • Complete all IES paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Adhere to and participate in all Company, customer, and industry quality and safety standards.
  • Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Must have zero (0) to two (2) years of experience as an electrician or in a related technical field.
  • Proficient with listed tools and able to interpret blueprints and project documents.
  • Knowledge of universal communications color codes.
  • Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
