The Infrastructure Technician serves as a core member of the IT Infrastructure team, reporting to the Director of IT Infrastructure Services. This role involves close collaboration with Engineers and student workers to ensure robust operation and continuous enhancement of the University's IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include the physical installation, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a wide range of IT infrastructure, including low-voltage cabling, data center operations, Microsoft 365 management, server administration, and network administration. The Infrastructure Technician actively monitors and responds to service requests, resolves complex issues, contributes to strategic projects, and participates in on-call rotation. This position also involves guiding student workers and proactively engaging in professional development to continually enhance departmental expertise and effectiveness. This role is ideal for a highly technical, self-motivated, and hard-working individual with a strong passion for technology and a natural aptitude for hands-on, practical work.
