About The Position

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion. Do you get a thrill out of closing a good deal? Do you have specific experience building massively-scaled networks? Do you have the business savvy and the technical background necessary to help establish Amazon.com as a key technology platform provider? If this describes you, how would you like to own driving the deals and help decide our strategy as we grow? This Technical Business Development role is open for a Contract Negotiator. This candidate will assume responsibilities for handling Amazon’s relationships with IP service providers in the U.S and Canadian markets to meet scaling goals, supporting customer demand. As a Technical Business Developer for Internet Services, you will play an important role in planning and sourcing IP interconnect and peering capacity in close coordination with other team members. You will respond to peering requests, sourcing and negotiating peering and transit connections to ISPs, assist in establishing peering with partner networks at new Internet exchanges globally, and work closely with network operations teams to ensure that peering and transit connections are upgraded in a timely and effective manner. The ideal candidate will be excited about the incredible opportunity cloud computing represents and will be passionate about building great teams that deliver high quality services. You will be customer focused and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that requires strong technical and business judgment and great communication skills.
