The Infrastructure Solutions Engineer (ISE) is primarily responsible for the design and deployment of technical configuration items from the approved technology portfolio to support the implementation of business solutions. The ISE plays a supporting role in managing Technical Debt and will work closely with Solution Architects and Technical Operations to minimize risk from legacy platforms. Designs system components using appropriate modeling techniques following agreed architectures, design standards, patterns and methodology. Produces detailed design specifications to form the basis for the construction of systems. Reviews, verifies and improves own designs against specifications. Designs specific compute and storage components using agreed architectures, design standards, patterns and methodology. Translates logical designs into physical designs that meet specified operational parameters for capacity and performance. Contributes to the development of recovery routines and contingency procedures. Contributes to alternative network architectures, networking topologies and design options. May be part of an after-hours on-call rotation. Performs other responsibilities as assigned.
