About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; preference for an Associate's Degree in Information Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems, including transmission, broadcasting, switching, and control.
  • Familiarity with circuit boards, processors, chips, and both hardware and software applications.
  • Proficiency in machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
  • Solid understanding of computers, data networks, digital video systems, fiber optics, security surveillance, and basic electronics fundamentals.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain government-issued security clearances.
  • Valid driver's license and capability to travel approximately 75% of the time to remote U.S. locations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain project-specified systems, including computers, data networks, digital video cameras and recorders, power supplies, and fiber optic cabling across a specified geographic region.
  • Install, update, and maintain both hardware and software.
  • Ensure accurate asset accountability and meticulous maintenance records.
  • Employ advanced electrical theory to troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues.
  • Utilize sophisticated diagnostic tools to calibrate and adjust electronic equipment and instruments to meet stringent specifications.
