The Infrastructure & Research Technology Support Specialist plays a critical role within the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture (UADA) Division Information Technology Services (DITS) team. This position supports the implementation, maintenance, network infrastructure, and all research technologies across all supported UADA departments and programs. The Infrastructure & Research Technology Support Specialist position is responsible for implementing and supporting the needed technology for research and academic support while also supporting critical IT infrastructure for operational needs which includes but is not limited to network equipment maintenance, indoor/outdoor wireless network support, research software support, server support, building security systems, etc. This role supports technologies used by UADA faculty, staff, and students while executing technology strategies that support the institution’s mission. This position provides end-user support (e.g., computer technical support, software application support, printer/scanner/copier support) to users on the Fayetteville main campus, the UADA Shult Agricultural Research & Extension Center, Research stations, and the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station headquarters and surrounding facilities. This position will support special projects related to start-up research projects that further the mission of UADA. This role will also assist with ITS Help Desk coverage, providing general end-user problem resolution for Division and University owned hardware and software.
