Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of infrastructure experience with demonstrated AWS cloud and infrastructure buildout/maintenance support expertise
3+ years in an infrastructure leadership or management role.
One or more certifications in the following: AWS Advanced Networking (ANS-CO1), Solutions Architect, CloudOps, DevOps Engineer, Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist (CMSS), CCNP Enterprise with Meraki, or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience implementing observability, proactive monitoring, and alerting strategies.
Strong experience with Datadog, Cisco Meraki, and Zscaler ZIA/ZPA.
Hands-on experience working in Agile environments using Jira.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure Leadership & Strategy Own and execute KSM’s infrastructure roadmap aligned with business and IT strategy.
Lead infrastructure operations by prioritizing work across the team to balance strategic initiatives and operational needs.
Build a scalable and redundant network infrastructure to support KSM’s growth strategy due to M&A supporting a hybrid and remote work force.
AWS Cloud & Platform Engineering Evolve KSM’s AWS environment, including new service adoption, architecture enhancements ex. serverless architecture, and optimization.
Design and maintain high availability, scalable, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure to ensure 99.7% availability excluding planned maintenance windows.
Scale infrastructure to dynamically supports peak workloads when required.
Observability & Proactive Monitoring Own observability strategy using Datadog and AWS-native tooling.
Develop meaningful dashboards designed towards proactive alerting and establish SLOs that provide advance warning signs to prevent a future outage.
Identify trends and risks such as capacity exhaustion, performance degradation, or abnormal traffic patterns.
Partners with teams remediate systemic issues before they impact users.
Manage after-hours on-call rotation schedule with Infrastructure staff in case of an outage through service restoration.
Agile Delivery & Execution Manage infrastructure initiatives using Agile practices.
Lead sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and delivery tracking to ensure transparency in progress, risks, and dependencies.
Documentation & Operational Readiness Develop network topology documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
Drive warm handoff of documentation to Support Services for ongoing operational support needs.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning Own and drive execution of the Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan including execution of critical business scenarios 2x/year based on an agreed upon cadence.
Vendor Management Manage vendor invoice submission, track contract renewal dates, and asset tracking.
