MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As an Infrastructure/Installation Design Specialist the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). You will play a crucial role in upgrading and modernization NASIC IT systems and networks. Provide infrastructure engineering and installation Level II and III CFP escalation support Maintain architectural diagrams and installation records Conduct network cabling design and installation Plan and execute network upgrades and expansion troubleshoot and resolve complex problems Diagnose and solve issues Provide technical guidance to IT staff and end users regarding network related issues. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards Coordinate with other IT teams to work toward resolutions Prepare detailed reports on all work performed and update facility records and work reports Must have the ability to perform physical tasks including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces Good communication skills – will be expected to work directly with the customer Strong verbal skills are a plus – the successful candidate will be working with and for a wide range of people, some who are IT literate and some who are not, so the successful candidate must be able to talk to and gather information from both The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced high-demand atmosphere and can expect to be busy all of the time WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The likely salary range for this position is $64,230 - $80,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Requirements

  • Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • IAT Level II certification (Security +) / Industry recognized fiber-optic certification
  • TS SCI-eligible
  • US Citizen
  • Must have the ability to perform physical tasks including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces
