About The Position

Bessemer Trust is seeking an Infrastructure Engineering Intern to join our Enterprise Platform Engineering group. The candidate should possess foundational skills in systems engineering, scripting, and evaluating emerging technologies. This role involves assisting Senior Infrastructure Engineers in managing and automating various infrastructure components, ensuring security and compliance across our cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

Requirements

• Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Understanding of more than one of the following technologies or tools: Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM, VMware), Scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, or equivalent), Infrastructure Automation and Orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef), Operating Systems (Windows Server/Desktop OS, Linux).
• An understanding of orchestration platforms, workflow design, and basic programming languages (e.g., SQL, JavaScript, PHP, C#) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of Senior Infrastructure Engineers, develop and enhance infrastructure automation scripts to implement system changes and automate operational tasks.
• Improve and maintain system security.
• Customize system settings, configurations, and infrastructure orchestration.
• Participate in the evaluation and integration of new and emerging technologies.
• Contribute to the development of infrastructure requirements for new projects and applications.
• Assist in documentation, testing, and research efforts.
• Support the management and optimization of cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including AWS, VMware, and Windows/Linux environments.
