About the position
The Infrastructure Engineer will engage with customers and survey potential job sites, taking detailed notes about customer needs. The role involves designing complete turn-key access control and surveillance solutions based on customer criteria and the estimation process during job walks, utilizing professional experience with those systems. Responsibilities include sourcing products, writing detailed proposals, overseeing field installations, configuring products prior to commissioning, providing system demonstrations and onsite training, assisting with investigations of recorded video, monitoring and troubleshooting deployed systems, and furnishing as-built drawings of system designs using AutoCAD or Microsoft Visio. The incumbent will also act as a resource for troubleshooting customer equipment related to surveillance.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers and survey potential job sites.
- Design complete turn-key access control and surveillance solutions.
- Source product and write detailed proposals including scope of work and labor estimations.
- Oversee field installation of awarded projects and configure all products prior to commissioning.
- Provide system demonstrations and onsite training to customers.
- Assist with investigations of recorded video for customers upon request.
- Monitor and troubleshoot deployed systems remotely or on-site.
- Furnish as-built drawings of system designs using AutoCAD or Microsoft Visio.
- Act as a resource for troubleshooting customer equipment.
Requirements
- Extensive surveillance and access control system design experience.
- Basic low-voltage wiring experience.
- Broad knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems including Windows XP, Vista, 7, and Server Editions.
- Expert knowledge of digital/analog CCTV equipment (Milestone or OnSSI).
- Experience with a broad range of IP Surveillance cameras (Axis, Arecont, Avigilon, etc.).
