As an Infrastructure Engineer Sr. within PNC's Technology organization, you can be based in Pittsburgh PA, Strongsville OH, Birmingham AL or Dallas TX. This position is primarily based in a location within PNC's footprint. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position. PNC is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer as a key member of a newly formed ‘Digital Employee Experience’ team. This group will be focused on improving the end user experience by proactively identifying and solving problems (big and small) to the benefit of PNC’s end users. Using the 1E Platform (formerly Tachyon, now TeamViewer) this position is focused on automation and proactive insights as the key to incident reduction and elimination. Using a broad range of technical &/or development skills the ideal candidate will work across the organization to identify opportunities to enhance end user productivity, avoid / prevent incidents and increase the effectiveness of our support organization. Ancillary skills around data presentation & analysis (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) are also desired but not required. All candidates should demonstrate a wide range of end user technology experience in an environment where scale matters. Experience with the 1E Platform is preferred but experience with similar platforms like NextThink, Systrack, etc. will also be considered. Candidates with a background in application development and automation will also be considered if they can demonstrate the needed skills re: end-user technology.

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using SQL, PowerShell, and 1E SCALE
  • Develop and maintain reports with Power BI for analytics and operational insights.
  • Integrate APIs for automation across enterprise platforms.
  • Design Solutions for Windows Core Infrastructure, focusing on client operating systems and related security configurations.
  • Collaborate on ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, and change management using ServiceNow.
  • Support enterprise security initiatives, including Zscaler and other endpoint security technologies.
  • Drive modernization efforts, aligning with Microsoft's Modern Workplace strategy to enhance user experience and productivity.
  • Technical Expertise: PowerShell scripting (advanced) – script development and maintenance beyond basic commands
  • SQL and Power BI for reporting and analytics
  • API integration and automation
  • Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Intune administration
  • M365 ecosystem and Modern Workplace concepts
  • Windows client and core infrastructure management
  • Process Knowledge: ITIL framework and ServiceNow experience
  • Security Tools: Familiarity with Zscaler or similar security solutions
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
