Maintain and implement systems, equipment, software, and processes necessary to support Associated Bank's infrastructure. Monitor the environment using advanced technologies and resolves Tier I and Tier II level issues and problems. Identify technology improvement paths, roadmaps and perform related solution design work.

  • Perform incident and problem management.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity or communication problems to determine root cause.
  • Communicate with service providers and partners for corrective action.
  • Prepare equipment to support end users at offices and branch locations using the appropriate tools, manuals and vendor support.
  • Support the installation and repair of products and services.
  • Review utilization and availability reports using in house tools and third party vendor solutions to identify problems and take corrective action.
  • Organize, manage, maintain and track hardware and software inventory records using network management software.
  • Maintain current network diagrams and documentation as required to aide in ongoing support of complex inter-connected systems and equipment.
  • Monitor infrastructure to maintain desired capacity for existing and new applications.
  • Recommend changes for improvements.
  • Life cycle management of equipment for security, stability, and desired features.
  • Review diagnostic logs and assist making corrections of noted problems.
  • Dispose or repair defective hardware by returning maintenance items to vendor using RMA process.
  • Track all incoming and outgoing repairs.
  • Maintain currency and familiarity with hardware, operating system software, wiring and applications.
  • Assist with Business Resumption Readiness testing for internal business preparedness.
  • Work with end users, business partners and IT Leadership to provide current, accurate documentation of supported systems, and activities required in the event of a disaster.
  • Participate with ongoing testing of Business Resumption plans.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to Associate Engineers and Engineers through coaching, knowledge transfer and training efforts.
  • Embrace 'Product Ownership' duties and responsibilities to set, share and communicate technology direction to management and leadership.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Networking (Required)
  • 5-7 years Configuring, installing and troubleshooting various infrastructure elements (Required)
  • Knowledge of basic concepts around network, server, client and telephony (Required)
  • Exposure to troubleshooting approaches, configuration management, and change control procedures with recovery paths (Required)
  • Creating and managing documentation, following standard operating procedures and general system maintenance (Required)
  • 8-10 years Configuring, installing and troubleshooting various infrastructure elements (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of basic concepts around network, server, client and telephony (Preferred)
  • Exposure to troubleshooting approaches, configuration management, and change control procedures with recovery paths (Preferred)
  • Creating and managing documentation, following standard operating procedures and general system maintenance (Preferred)
  • Cisco CCIE, advanced Microsoft Role Certifications and other vendor specific certs (Preferred)
