In this Infrastructure Engineer - Operating Environment role, you will: Support Operating Environment management and monitoring for Aegis programs, including troubleshooting and integration to ensure secure, efficient, and reliable operation. Contribute to development, integration, and testing of computer system operating environment changes on a quarterly cadence as part of build development. Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the Operating Environment infrastructure. Participate in deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting efforts. Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Apply automation tools and technologies to streamline system deployment. Support customer and corporate events and exercises to test future capabilities for the warfighter. The successful candidate should also have experience developing test plans, and documenting results. You have a Computer Engineering, Information Sciences, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or equivalent, with coursework in Operating Systems, Software Development, Information Systems, Computer Architecture, Cybersecurity, or similar and at least 2 years of professional experience. You are interested in a career where you will solve problems and develop solutions on a daily basis. You enjoy a good challenge and excel in an environment where you can collaborate with other motivated engineers. Must be willing to work onsite, traveling between multiple sites within the campus (5 mile radius) as well as be willing to travel domestically or internationally as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Information Sciences, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or equivalent, with coursework in Operating Systems, Software Development, Information Systems, Computer Architecture, Cybersecurity, or similar.
  • 2 years of professional experience with a Linux Operating System (preferably RedHat)
  • Experience with configuration management and repository tools such as Git, Bitbucket and/or Artifactory.
  • Experience with coding / scripting / automation / orchestration platforms (such as Python, Ansible, and Bash)
  • DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree or professional certification (Security+, Linux+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar)
  • Experience working in a systems/software engineering environment, using agile tools (such as JIRA), automation, and applying best practices.
  • Strong analytical and collaborative problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex software systems
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and platforms, such as GitLab.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and automated test framework technologies, such as Jenkins, Maven, Ansible and/or Robot.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills, especially the ability to articulate advanced technical topics to both technical and non-technical staff
