Infrastructure Engineer Lead We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert across Microsoft Office tools, identity management, and endpoint administration, while partnering closely with HR and business leadership to support onboarding, escalations, and overall technology operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or Microsoft 365 administration
  • Solid understanding of networking, including telephony (phone and fax), switching, firewalls
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft 365 suite, including Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Intune device management
  • Proven experience supporting employee onboarding/offboarding workflows
  • Experience working cross-functionally with HR and business leadership
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and escalations in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrates initiative to solve problems and take ownership in a small but distributed team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Automate a plus

Responsibilities

  • Administer Microsoft 365 tenant services (e.g. Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook)
  • Manage user identity lifecycle, group membership, and access permissions within Entra ID
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain endpoint management policies through Intune
  • Enforce conditional access and compliance policies to protect enterprise resources
  • Assist with implementation of new Microsoft 365 features or infrastructure upgrades
  • Manage vendor relationships for product information, maintenance, billing, contract issues, and the timely resolution of escalated issues
  • Serve as escalation support for infrastructure-related incidents and service disruptions
  • Being available when needed for after-hours/weekend maintenance, support and projects
  • Maintain technical documentation related to infrastructure standards and processes
  • Support audit readiness through access reviews and reporting
  • Evaluate system performance and recommend enhancements for improved scalability and security
  • Create, publish and maintain current and accurate documentation and diagrams
  • Provide proper disaster recovery tools and verify that the environment is recoverable
  • Stay up-to-date with technological trends, and research those that can be useful to the business
