About The Position

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of DCIF will report to members Infrastructure Leadership Team and will be responsible for overseeing critical aspects of DCIF. They will be the primary interface with non-investing KKR functional teams that support the business. Responsibilities will include being accountable for and driving key initiatives whilst collaborating seamlessly with Finance & Strategic planning (including treasury, hedging and cash management), Human Capital, Technology, Operations & Reporting, Legal & Compliance, Risk, Public Affairs & Communications, and Marketing. This individual will be based in New York although the role will be global by nature. Given the growth in the platform (in particular, with new fund structures), this is a new position, responsible for enabling the success of KKR’s Global Infrastructure platform. The person in this role is likely to have an interesting career progression to expand their remit to the entire infrastructure platform over time.

Requirements

  • 8–15 years of experience in a divisional COO, CAO, or similar senior operational leadership role within a large financial institution, preferably within alternative asset management.
  • Demonstrated experience with private and open-ended fund structures involving monthly or quarterly capital activity (capital calls, subscriptions, distributions, redemptions), including global, multi-jurisdictional structures with multi-currency and cash management complexity.
  • Experience overseeing and managing third-party service providers supporting private funds, including external fund administrators and transfer agents.
  • Strong business acumen within the funds space, with the ability to interpret, analyze, and resolve complex operational, financial, and structural issues.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing systems, controls, and processes that enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Demonstrated commercial judgment and strategic capability, with the ability to balance long-term platform development and near-term execution priorities.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment, effectively prioritizing competing demands while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, with the presence and gravitas to articulate complex concepts clearly to senior leadership, boards, investors, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes across open-ended fund platforms, partnering closely with portfolio managers and corporate finance, tax, and legal teams.
  • Serve as the primary operational lead for bespoke institutional private fund platforms, establishing scalable operating models and end-to-end processes from capital formation through ongoing fund operations.
  • Oversee complex liquidity mechanics, including investor commitments and redemptions, investment commitments, NAV facility, hedging settlements and ad hoc monthly capital activity.
  • Create globally consistent business processes and governance frameworks for due diligence and investment committee requirements across multiple funds.
  • Lead the operational, legal, compliance, and regulatory workstreams associated with new product development, acquisitions, and ongoing fund oversight, ensuring adherence to applicable rules and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop global standards for operational, performance, and risk metrics across open-ended businesses and portfolio companies, including the implementation of dashboards and reporting tools to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee technology strategy and systems readiness, partnering with Global Technology teams to digitize workflows and enhance reporting infrastructure.
  • Advance and implement ESG policies and strategy, integrating sustainability considerations into due diligence processes and asset-level decarbonization initiatives.
  • Prepare and manage materials for senior management and Board-level meetings, supporting internal and external stakeholder communications.
  • Partner with fundraising and client teams to support product structuring initiatives, develop limited partner materials and quarterly updates, and contribute to strategic marketing efforts that enhance platform positioning.
