Requirements

  • 15-20 years of construction management experience, with at least 5-10 years in transit facilities.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in California.
  • Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to be on the construction site office (not hybrid or remote).
  • In-depth understanding of a typical Transit agency's operations and requirements.
  • Possess proactive and effective management skills.
  • Excellent communicator with collaborative problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Orange County Public Agencies work.
  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Possession of a valid Certified Construction Manager (CCM).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Owner's Lead Representative/Construction Manager.
  • Provide expertise in planning phasing and construction activities for a public transit facility that is a design-bid-build procurement with soil mitigation and new construction of the building (Orange County).
  • Provide daily interface and management/oversight of the general contractor on site.
  • Provide leadership and coordinate with the client and all internal and external stakeholders during the construction of the project.
  • Provide supervision and management as it relates to assignments to CM staff.
  • Perform any other duties assigned.
  • Work onsite at client site to enable delivery and cultivate client relationships.

Benefits

  • Compensation range of $175,000 - $200,000 a year, depending on various factors.
  • Ongoing applications accepted with no fixed deadline.
