Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in cost estimating.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Proficient in the use of advanced functions in CostX to produce estimates, bills, etc.
  • Knowledge of relevant construction technologies and trends (Sustainability) to assist with appropriate options and cost implications.
  • Post Contract Administration skills.
  • Project Close out skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Ideally worked with data centers or similar mission critical projects.
  • MRICS status preferred.
  • Team player skills with the ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Field Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed cost plans in collaboration with clients, considering site layout, conditions, and constraints.
  • Prepare and present cost estimates, high-level cost advice, and budget updates to senior leadership.
  • Drive value engineering efforts and provide strategic cost insights to support decision-making.
  • Manage RFP documentation and oversee both pre- and post-contract processes.
  • Perform bid evaluations, cost negotiations, and maintain quality assurance across team deliverables.
  • Liaise with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare and maintain reports, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other key project documents.
  • Coordinate and update the project risk register and record design changes impacting budgets.
  • Lead client meetings, monitor internal resource allocation, and ensure follow-through on meeting actions.
  • Review landlord leases for compliance with client requirements and advise on strategic improvements.
