Infrastructure Automation and Python Engineer
About The Position
Seeking an enthusiastic engineer to join a software development team responsible for maintaining and enhancing development pipelines on multiple product lines in our AI/ML Interconnect Solutions team. This diverse role is central to the team’s operations, and includes elements of software development, system administration, and test automation. Candidates with strengths in the following areas are strongly preferred: Python Development, git/gerrit/Jenkins administration, Linux system administration & build toolchain expertise. You’ll be “automating everything” and ensuring quality by building features into our CI/CD and release management tooling for leading edge PCIe Switches and Ethernet products. Exposure to server hardware, networking protocols, and mixed hardware/software environments is beneficial.
Requirements
- Bachelors in Engineering field with a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience or Master's degree in Engineering field and 3+ years of related experience.
- Python and/or bash development experience (or equivalent)
- git, gerrit and Jenkins or similar experience preferred
- Linux system administration experience preferred
- Experience automation test infrastructure orchestrating multiple systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills & debugging skills.
- Possess excellent communication skills and need to be a critical thinker and a self-starter.
- Networking experience preferred.
- Common protocols and basic debugging skills.
- PCIe experiencce preferred.
- Embedded firmware systems experience preferred
- Docker / containers and/or virtualization experience preferred
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency with agentic coding patterns strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain automation in our build, test and release automation infrastructure using Python, bash, make, etc
- Support and expand test infrastructure to ensure quality firmware and driver delivery to the organization and to customers.
- Prioritize and manage multiple, parallel tasks, projects & releases
