About The Position

Join Mizuho as an Infrastructure Architect! Mizuho Americas Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Architect to join our team. This role supports the development and communication of enterprise infrastructure strategy, principles, standards, and reference architectures. The position partners with senior technology leaders and key stakeholders to promote consistency, alignment, and informed decision‑making across infrastructure services. The role focuses on strategic analysis, architectural guidance, and stakeholder collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Infrastructure IT or a related field
  • Proven experience (8+ years) working as an Infrastructure Architect in the finance industry, with a focus on designing and implementing infrastructure solutions
  • Strong understanding of finance industry regulations, compliance standards, and security frameworks
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud infrastructure, automation tools, operating systems, networking protocols, and IT operations
  • Proficient in infrastructure architecture frameworks and design principles
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at a strategic and architectural level and to translate complex technical topics into clear guidance
  • Proven ability to influence outcomes without direct authority and to work effectively across organizational boundaries
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical thinking capabilities, with keen attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Support the definition, refinement, and communication of enterprise infrastructure strategy and multi‑year roadmaps in alignment with business priorities
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of infrastructure principles, standards, and reference architectures across core infrastructure domains
  • Participate in architecture governance forums to promote consistent, transparent, and well‑reasoned infrastructure decisions
  • Assist in the development and application of decision frameworks related to technology selection, exceptions, and lifecycle management
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure Services, Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, GRC, and other stakeholders to ensure shared understanding and alignment on infrastructure direction
  • Identify areas of technology fragmentation, lifecycle risk, and technical debt, and contribute to modernization and standardization efforts
  • Develop and deliver clear, executive‑level communications and materials to socialize infrastructure strategy and architectural guidance
