About The Position

This position is contingent upon contract award. GovCIO is currently looking for a/an Informix DBA SME for our Courts proposal. This position will be located in San Antonio, TX. Responsibilities Under general direction, provides highly technical expertise and guidance in the architecture, design, implementation, support, operation and maintenance of database management systems (DBMS) such as lnformix, DB2, MySQL, and SQL Server. Performs data movement, troubleshoots issues, and writes scripts to perform common database tasks. Maintains complex databases with respect to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods. Performs installs, configuration, migrations, restores, and monitors the security and performance of the systems are not compromised. Provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 support. Prepares and delivers presentations on DBMS concepts.

Requirements

Bachelor's with 5-8 years (or commensurate experience)
Considerable knowledge of the job.
Complete understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the job, and its application.

Strong Informix analytical and decision making skills
Demonstrated Informix configuration and administration experience
Demonstrated Informix performance tuning experience
Demonstrated Informix backup and data recovery experience
Basic scripting skills
Clearance Required: Ability to acquire and maintain Public Trust
