About The Position

The IT Support Technician is responsible for ensuring that all Company Associates have reliable access to necessary IT systems and tools. This role involves monitoring and maintaining IT networks, systems, and applications, and providing first-line support for IT-related issues. The technician will work closely with the Infrastructure Team and other IT personnel to resolve problems and enhance the performance of IT services within the company.

Requirements

  • Two-year associate degree in information technology or computer science or comparable educational degree with 2+ years of appropriate experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with Helpdesk/Customer Service environments.
  • Common knowledge of IT hardware, networking, and industry-standard applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Solutions including M365, Windows Server 2016-2022, Remote Desktop Services, Active Directory, GPO, Intune, and Azure.
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows 10, Android OS, and iOS.
  • Experience with mobile device management software and remote desktop support tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Teams (voice/video) and Meraki Dashboard for firewall and networking.
  • Knowledge of anti-virus software and spam filtering.
  • Experience with M365 & Azure Administration and PowerShell.

Responsibilities

  • Provides first-line response and problem resolution (Levels 1 and 2) for end-users requiring assistance with IT-related issues.
  • Works with the Infrastructure team on escalations and manages communication with end users throughout the resolution process.
  • Monitors IT systems and applications to ensure performance and availability are within established benchmarks.
  • Collaborates with IT Team members, suppliers, and contractors to resolve Level 3 and escalated problems.
  • Acts as a liaison between users, IT suppliers, and contractors.
  • Administers and manages the IT Helpdesk Support system, tracking issues to resolution and updating the knowledgebase.
  • Maintains system user access and permissions, including user account profiles and file permissions.
  • Monitors and ensures all servers and applications are fully patched with applicable updates, focusing on security patching.
  • Maintains IT hardware inventory records for accurate inventory control.
