About The Position

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is seeking an individual to join its IT Client Services group, focusing on Engineering and Platform Security. This role involves investigating and remediating vulnerabilities across various technology endpoints to secure critical and sensitive information. The position requires a proactive approach to maintaining the security posture of Federal Reserve System assets and improving overall environment health.

Requirements

  • Typically requires at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Associate's degree in information technology or a closely related field from a technical/vocational school, an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience.
  • Intermediate understanding of technical business processes and subject matter.
  • SAFR Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve incoming vulnerability alerts through automated and manual patching.
  • Complete task reviews and resolve issues with endpoints.
  • Perform simple to moderate scripting tasks, including software packaging.
  • Respond to proactive and reactive client health indicators in real-time to improve environment health.
  • Perform triage and ticketing support for vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure network and endpoint security by providing assistance with, and configuration of, applications and agents.
  • Perform review of related controls to ensure proper safeguards are in place.
  • Partner with business areas to understand their business functions for consideration of patching impacts.
  • Perform activities related to assigned projects and services to maintain the security posture of Federal Reserve System (FRS) assets.
  • Review work processes to identify, design, and implement improvements in procedures for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Recommend improved enhancements, and interpret and address requests and concerns.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement department standard operating policies and procedures.
  • Participate on workgroups and awareness activities.
  • Stay current on new and emerging technologies.
