About The Position
The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Information Technology Specialist in the Aviation Information Technology Network Security Division. This position consists of advanced professional and administrative work with responsibilities to design, develop, implement and maintain advanced information technology security solutions such as Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Intrusion Prevention/Detection systems (IPS/IDS), Vulnerability scanners, Denial-of-Service prevention solutions, Endpoint Detection and Response solutions (EDR), Extended Detection and Response solutions (XDR) and Security Information and Event Management. The person in this position will work in collaboration with Cybersecurity Analysts, Security Operations Center and Network Operations Center to make needed changes to all security solutions deployed at BCAD, as well as perform upgrades and new deployments. Advanced knowledge of network technology in addition to advanced knowledge on Cybersecurity technologies is a requirement for this position.
