About The Position

The Information Technology Specialist (Network Services) position at the Department of Defense involves serving as a Hardware Asset Manager for the U.S. Army Signal Network Enterprise Center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in regular performance of duties.
• Completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and annual examinations thereafter is required.
• Possession of a valid state Driver's License is necessary to operate vehicles.
• 1 year of specialized experience in IT asset management or related field.

• Experience with information technology asset management databases.
• Knowledge of hardware and software quality control processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Hardware Asset Manager for the U.S. Army Signal Network Enterprise Center (NEC).
• Maintain tracking and accountability of all Network Infrastructure Division Hardware assets.
• Provide information to the Network Infrastructure Division Chief to eliminate waste and increase efficiency.
• Optimize existing IT asset resources to avoid unnecessary purchases.
• Create, maintain, and update hardware asset Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) processes.
• Train network technicians on hardware asset databases and SOP processes.
