About The Position

Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of Californians by supporting technology and data efforts that support their access and usage of health and human services? If you share our passion for a Healthy California for All, join our collaborative team that helps ensure every Californian is proactively made aware of and seamlessly connected to a comprehensive, inclusive, and equitable set of health and human services matched to their holistic needs. The California Health and Human Services (CalHHS) Office of Technology and Solutions Integration (OTSI) seeks to build a workforce and develop an infrastructure that provides accessible, affordable, and high-quality services for all, creating a care-delivery system that addresses the social, cultural, and linguistic needs of individuals we serve. As part of our mission, we work with departments to plan and deliver the IT and data solutions that support equitable, affordable program services. In the role of Portfolio Specialist with OTSI Portfolio Delivery Support Division's (PDS) Enterprise Solution Alignment Support (ESAS) Unit, you will: * Serve as an advisor to provide project support services and oversight for the IT Project and IT Services planning, development, and implementation efforts for CalHHS departments and offices. * Accelerate project planning work while ensuring that it meets CalHHS Agency and Statewide requirements focused on identifying and mitigating project risk. * Perform analyses and impact assessments of project performance by working with the department project teams, reviewing the Project Status Reports (PSRs), Independent Project Oversight Reports, and the Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Reports to assess accurate project status and propose recommendations to OTSI leadership on IT projects' risk and issue mitigation strategies. * Complete assigned work associated with the monthly reporting and collaboratively develop, implement, and maintain a framework to monitor the health of the CalHHS IT Project Portfolio. We are led by CalHHS's Guiding Principles, focusing on equity, active listening, data usage, and a culture of innovation. We see the whole person and through our work, help departments put Californians at the center of all that they do, with a keen focus on delivering wellness outcomes. As CalHHS implements its new, ambitious IT and Data Strategic Plan, this essential and exciting Agency-level gives you end-to-end insight and opportunity. We hope this speaks to your sense of purpose and encourage you to join our team and help our departments make a positive difference in the lives of all Californians.
