About The Position

The Information Technology Specialist 3 position at the New York State Office of Information Technology Services involves managing and supervising IT staff while providing operational support for state agencies. This role focuses on the Electronic Information Management (EIM) Health Information Exchange (HIE) team, requiring expertise in various IT systems and administration tasks.

Requirements

• Five years of professional experience in computer programming involving planning, configuration, testing, implementation, and/or management of IT systems.
• Bachelor's degree in any field including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science with at least 9 semester credit hours in programming languages and two years of experience in computer programming.
• Bachelor's or higher-level degree in any field and three years of experience in computer programming.
• Associate degree with 15 semester credit hours in programming languages and four years of experience in computer programming.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the group's NYS and Contract staff in conjunction with the unit's ITS 4 supervisor.
• Conduct Rhapsody administration.
• Perform Rhapsody migrations.
• Administer InfoSphere Master Data Management (MDM).
• Administer Tableau site.
• Oversee and generate HBITS contracts.
• Administrate the unit's daily scrum.
• Perform the full range of supervisory responsibilities.
