About The Position
The Information Technology Specialist 2 (NY HELPs) will function as general desktop support staff for End User Support within the NYS Office of IT Services (ITS). This position is responsible for providing on-site support and may require lifting equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, intermittent travel, and some overtime. The role involves reviewing and responding to IT Service Management (ITSM) system incident and request tickets, addressing desktop support calls, monitoring ITSM work queues, collaborating with other regional areas, installing and configuring software, troubleshooting technical issues, and training users on hardware and software.
