About The Position

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or higher-level degree in any field and one year of experience in information technology.
  • A bachelor's or higher-level degree, including or supplemented by 15 credit hours in computer science courses.
  • 60 semester credit hours including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science and one year of professional experience in information technology.
  • A total of two years of experience in information technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Telecommunications, Management Information Systems, or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience with Database Applications and Management Systems, particularly Oracle Database Administration.
  • Demonstrated experience in Relational Database/RDMS.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions with all levels of staff within the user community.

Responsibilities

  • Daily administration of Oracle Database environments, including monitoring and corrective actions.
  • Ensure systems are current with all Oracle releases and patches.
  • Troubleshoot issues to ensure timely resolution for customers.
  • Implement proper database design, backups, statistics, and index reorganization.
  • Prioritize assignments to ensure deadlines are met and timelines adhered to.
  • Prepare and review complex technical requirements to ensure comprehensive documentation.
  • Serve on various committees related to Information Technology (IT) and user requirements.
  • Assist management with research and special projects.
  • Create and review software and procedural documentation.
