About The Position

The Senior Business Systems Analyst at Sacred Heart University is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing systems and processes that support the university's operational and academic functions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a related role, ideally within a higher education environment.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or student information systems (SIS).
  • Proven experience in requirements gathering, process modeling, and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in systems analysis and business process modeling.
  • Knowledge of system integration practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools, SQL, or reporting platforms.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar certification.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification or equivalent knowledge of IT service management best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business processes, workflows, and data requirements in collaboration with university departments.
  • Elicit and document detailed functional and technical requirements from stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to design, test, and implement system solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support during system rollouts, including training and data migration.
  • Continuously assess existing systems and workflows for improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users on system functionality.
  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and execution for system upgrades and new implementations.
  • Support change management processes for system changes and upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and regulatory requirements.
