The IT Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure while delivering exceptional support to our staff across multiple locations within Wisconsin. This is a dynamic position that requires a balance of technical expertise, problem-solving, and outstanding communication skills and will be the primary go-to person for troubleshooting network issues, setting up new users and workstations, providing on-call support, and training end users to ensure smooth operations.

  • Maintain and support the firm's network infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, VPNs, and security protocols; troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues across multiple locations, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Provide hands-on, front-line tech support to end users both remotely and on-site for hardware, software, and network issues; respond to IT tickets and address issues promptly, escalating when necessary, ensure prompt and effective communication during troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Configure and deploy new workstations, laptops, printers, and other office technology as needed; set up new user accounts, permissions, and access rights in the network, ensuring security best practices; manage software installations and updates for users.
  • Be part of an on-call rotation to handle urgent after-hours or weekend IT issues, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted business operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to end users on best practices for using software, hardware, and internal systems; help staff become more efficient by promoting and training on new tools, processes, and AI-based technologies.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in network administration or a similar IT role.
  • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Windows servers, Active Directory, and various network protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
  • Strong knowledge of firewall and security protocols, VPN configurations, and wireless networking.
  • Experience with Office 365, remote desktop tools, and backup systems.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels of technical knowledge.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, on-the-fly situations while maintaining a personable, solutions-oriented attitude.
  • Self-starter who can work independently but is also a team player.
  • Forward-thinking approach to AI, with the ability to identify and implement automation tools and AI-driven solutions to streamline IT operations.
  • Regular travel to offices and job sites across Wisconsin to provide hands-on support and to address location-specific IT needs is required.
