About The Position

The IT Manager is the on-property technology leader at Hotel Jerome and is fully accountable for the delivery, reliability, and day-to-day operation of all hotel technology systems. This role owns all local IT services for the property, including user support, systems stability, vendor coordination, and alignment with Auberge Home Office technology standards. The IT Manager works independently on site while partnering closely with the Director of Engineering, hotel leadership, the Regional Director of IT, and Home Office technology teams. The position requires a highly hands-on, service-oriented technologist who is comfortable operating autonomously in a luxury, 24-hour hotel environment and who can balance immediate operational support with proactive system management and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in IT roles, with progressively increasing responsibilities, demonstrating expertise in managing IT infrastructure, systems, and projects.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage IT teams, collaborate with other departments and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, providing foundational knowledge in IT principles, systems, and technologies preferred.
  • Experience with PMS Opera Cloud
  • Experience with POS Simphony
  • Experience with PBX configuration
  • Experience with networking, including Ethernet switching DNS DHCP IP Addressing and VLANs
  • Windows Operating systems
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent issues
  • Clear, professional communication skills and a service-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day IT operations for the hotel, ensuring high availability of systems supporting Front Office, Rooms, Food and Beverage, Finance, Sales, and Back of House operations
  • Serve as the primary on-site escalation point for all technology issues, outages, and incidents
  • Provide Tier 1 through Tier 3 technical support to hotel team members
  • Support basic guest connectivity needs related to WiFi when required
  • Support and administer Windows-based servers used for file, print, and resort-specific applications
  • Maintain and support hotel network infrastructure including switching, wireless, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and IP addressing
  • Support POS systems across restaurant and bar environments
  • Support VoIP systems at a basic operational level and coordinate with vendors for advanced changes or troubleshooting
  • Partner with Engineering and vendors on any technology-related infrastructure projects
  • Provision and manage user accounts across JumpCloud, Google Workspace, PMS, POS, and other hotel systems
  • Manage access rights, security groups, and permissions in accordance with corporate IT and security standards
  • Deploy, support, and maintain laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices throughout the property
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all property-level IT vendors and service providers
  • Coordinate with corporate IT teams on enterprise platforms, standards, upgrades, and security initiatives
  • Partner with department heads and hotel leadership to align technology capabilities with operational needs
  • Support cybersecurity standards and participate in audits, assessments, and remediation activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation for systems, configurations, vendors, and procedures
  • Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, operational efficiency, and user experience
