The Information Technology Manager 2 position is a critical role within the Administrative Services of the State of Ohio, specifically within the Investment and Governance Division. This position is responsible for managing the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), which includes overseeing EPMO supervisors, making budget recommendations, and monitoring the EPMO budget. The manager will set the direction for the EPMO and oversee the segments of the Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (EPPM) solution and platform relevant to project management practices. This includes supporting an integrated strategic planning and project delivery process for the state, maintaining the EPMO processes, and managing contracts relevant to the EPMO. In addition to managing the EPMO, the Information Technology Manager 2 will oversee EPMO practices, including program and project management, project delivery and governance, and organizational change management. The manager will also oversee assigned initiatives from the EPMO active portfolio, review weekly status reports, complete practice audits, and advise EPMO staff and OIT management on initiatives. Staff management is a key component of this role, which includes developing employee goals, conducting performance reviews, managing leave requests, and promoting project management practices across the state through various programs. The position also involves attending senior staff meetings and providing presentations to both public and private groups, ensuring that the state's project management methodology is developed and maintained effectively. This role is hybrid eligible under the current DAS teleworking policy, allowing for a flexible work environment while fulfilling the responsibilities of managing IT projects and teams effectively.
