About The Position

The Information Technology Lead supports the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) Academic Network Labor Contract to administer, maintain, secure, and accredit the DLIFLC Academic Network, which provides the IT environment for 100% of the DLIFLC teaching and instructing for all students, staff, faculty, and guests in a learning environment at the unclassified level.

Requirements

  • BA/BS from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5+ years experience or substitute with AA/AS with 7+ years experience.
  • Require anyone of the following IAT Level II (CySA+, Security+, CND, or SSCP) Certification and CE/OS Certification.
  • PMI Certification required.
  • Windows or Apple Certified Technician.
  • Advanced knowledge of current Microsoft desktop and server operating systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Exchange, SharePoint, and other server applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer and server hardware.
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Ivanti Management Suite, Microsoft SCCM, or Jamf Pro.
  • Professional customer service skill.
  • Must be resourceful and able to take initiative in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical problems effectively and efficiently.
  • Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provides the highest level of support to end users by handling service requests that have been escalated by lower tiers.
  • Support will be provided onsite, remotely, over the phone, or via email.
  • Develop solutions for complex network, desktop, and server problems.
  • Analyze existing systems and make proactive recommendations for improvements.
  • Develops, maintains, and implements all systems, applications, and networking configurations.
  • Manage desktop/notebook/tablet device set-up.
  • Installation and configuration of organization-specific applications.
  • Respond to and resolve service desk incidents.
  • Attend IT-related meetings.
  • Device support: This includes installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing computers, printers, and other peripheral devices.
  • Remediate information assurance vulnerabilities.
