About The Position

The General Government Technology Services Office (GGTSO) is seeking a highly motivated information technology (IT) professional to join the GGTSO Service Help Desk Division and perform a wide range of Commonwealth-wide IT support functions. If you enjoy working on new and emerging technologies and being challenged to move beyond the status quo, this is the career for you! Core responsibilities of the Information Technology Generalist 1 position encompass deployment, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and restoration of General Government Delivery Center (GGDC) desktop and laptop systems, peripherals, cabling, audio-visual equipment, and software used by the GGTSO workforce. You will directly support callers by diagnosing and resolving user-reported IT issues or through creating and managing incident and request tickets in the ServiceNow system as necessary. Diligent organizational skills are vital, as you must maintain detailed documentation of service requests and troubleshooting efforts. You will have the opportunity to assist in the development and maintenance of system documentation to support effective usage, troubleshooting, and system management. Strong critical thinking skills are exercised to recommend technologies or process improvements that strive to enhance team performance and overall effectiveness.
