About The Position

Enabling the Business. — Join Velocity Electronics as our next INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR in St. Petersburg, Florida or Austin, Texas We are seeking an Information Technology Director to play a leadership role in shaping the technological landscape, post-M&A, within our affiliated group of core, complementary, and adjacent businesses. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities and technical acumen with a collaborative and pragmatic mindset. This Director will collaborate cross-functionally to define, prioritize, develop, implement, and maintain Information Technology strategy and solutions that enable achievement of Business Unit and Corporate goals and objectives. This role will focus primarily on enabling technological solutions for acquisitions including integration activities across technological landscapes within the affiliated group. This is a hands-on role with both strategic and operational focuses with a broad set of stakeholders. Requirements

  • 4-year college degree in Information Technology related field.
  • 10+ years of general technology management in a global enterprise.
  • Experience with Traditional and Agile SDLC..
  • Knowledge of complex enterprise platforms including ERP such as SAP
  • Infrastructure, environment, and endpoint management.
  • Demonstrated success leading global M&A technology integrations.
  • Strong leadership skills including ability to influence and drive team players to action and commitment.
  • Excellent ability to effectively communicate abstract and complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in use of personal computers and desktop applications including Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

  • Technology Enablement: Ensure IT solutions effectively support company strategy and business needs.
  • Enterprise Systems Leadership: Oversee complex ERP initiatives (SAP and Compiere) across end-to-end business processes.
  • M&A Integration: Lead technology integration for acquisitions and manage post-integration IT landscapes.
  • IT Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure, and team performance.
  • Execution & Prioritization: Independently manage multiple initiatives with competing priorities and tight timelines.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Manage technology vendors and strategic partners with a focus on cost efficiency and service quality.
  • Governance & Compliance: Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Internal Controls to ensure adherence to U.S. and global regulations, including SOX.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation, modernization, and ongoing process improvements.
  • Data Integrity & Security: Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion with sensitive data and proprietary information.
  • People Leadership: Recruit, develop, retain, and coach high-performing IT talent.
  • Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
