The Senior IT Data/Database Analyst position will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and maintaining our Oracle database environments. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements, develop data models, and implement data-driven solutions. This position will also play a key role in ensuring data quality, integrity, and security throughout the organization along with understanding java-based application development, enabling close collaboration with development teams and improving troubleshooting of application-database interactions.   • Identify, collect, and analyze structured and unstructured data from various sources.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex queries.
  • Develop data visualizations, reports, and dashboards.
  • Design and Implement data models, schemas, and database structures to support efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity and security.
  • Applying Oracle patches and updates to keep the database up-to-date and secure.
  • Installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle APEX applications.
  • Installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle software and related products.
  • Develop and maintain data integration workflows and automation scripts.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to optimize database access, queries, and schema design.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues related to application-database interactions.
  • Consults with end users, peers, and management on data/database issues.
  • Assists and mentors peers and subordinates.
  • Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field of study and three years related experience OR A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering or other related field and two years of experience.
  • Experience may include application programming, software installation and software maintenance, including systems programming, online programming, database design, analysis and programming using IFS and/or SQL/DS and database administration.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and SQL query optimization
