About The Position

Hilcorp Energy is located in Downtown Houston. This is a part-time position, fully in office, for a current student wanting to expand their experience in information technology. Essential Job Responsibilities: Provide excellent customer service. Responsible for diagnosing and resolving unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operating systems; determine the source of problems and classify their level, priority and nature. Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot and support computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones and other computer and telecommunications equipment. Install and support PC, laptop, tablet and mobile hardware and software, as instructed. Create alternative methods of completing tasks, correcting user errors and system inconsistencies to improve the desktop team function. Participate in hardware and software reviews and recommend purchases. Maintain inventory of installed software, manage software licensing and create policies and procedures for upgrades. Performs other IT projects as assigned. Adheres to the company’s values – integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation. Supports company vision and mission. Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings. Other duties as assigned by management. Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed. Support A/V equipment. Other Job Responsibilities: Contribute to Infrastructure projects as assigned. May include networking, security, servers, cloud computing environments, etc. Qualifications: Excellent customer service skills. Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Required: Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint Education Requirements: Currently a Sophomore, Junior or Senior at an accredited 4-year university or college with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
