About the position

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), Enterprise Information Services, is seeking a conscientious individual who can improve collaboration and execute IT support service delivery to various programs that supports CDCR mission. The Information Technology Associate (ITA) will be responsible for face to face, hands on support of end user devices, printers, networking equipment, training, and general help desk services. The ITA provides first level of support and is an integral part of the CDCR Enterprise Information Services team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide face to face, hands on support of end user devices, printers, and networking equipment.
  • Deliver training and general help desk services.
  • Execute IT support service delivery to various programs.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve service delivery.

Requirements

  • Possession of Minimum Qualifications as verified prior to interview and/or appointment.
  • Experience supporting on-site and remote customers with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Operating System environment, and Office 365.
  • Knowledge of configuring, managing, and troubleshooting various hardware, software, and mobile devices.
  • Experience with Enterprise client/server network environment including wireless technology.
  • Familiarity with Mobile Device Management / Endpoint Management tools.
  • Experience with computer imaging tools and remote desktop software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including IT documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving and research skills.
  • Ability to handle concurrent assignments and changing priorities.
