This is a 12-month limited-term position that may be extended to 24 months with the possibility of becoming permanent. The position is for a Desktop Support Analyst within the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE). The successful candidate will be required to report to the office as needed and must reside in California upon appointment. The position involves statewide travel (25%) with possibly overnight stays, and the candidate will be required to work at remote facilities or incidents to affect repairs onsite, which can involve overnight travel. Hardware repair requires occasional lifting of PCs and printers which should not exceed 40 pounds.
