About the position

The Information Technology Associate (ITA), serving as an Application Administrator within the Emerging Technologies and Web Services (ETWS) Section, works both independently and as part of a team on software development projects. The ITA is responsible for analyzing, implementing, testing, documenting, deploying, maintaining, and supporting the Department of FI$Cal's web services, enterprise applications, content management systems, artificial intelligence (AI), and robotic process automation (RPA) services. Additionally, the incumbent provides technical expertise, performing maintenance, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting for FI$Cal internal application services to support various teams. While the primary focus of this role is web development and system administration, work may be assigned in other domains as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, implement, test, document, deploy, maintain, and support web services and enterprise applications.
  • Provide technical expertise for maintenance, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of internal application services.
  • Work independently and as part of a team on software development projects.
  • Support various teams with application services.

Requirements

  • Must take and pass the examination for placement in the Information Technology Associate classification.
  • Authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working experience with cloud applications and Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) solutions.
  • Experience with AngularJS, React, PHP, Python, or .Net/C#.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, SharePoint, Azure, or Blue Prism.
  • Experience with API integration, including REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML.
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience writing SQL queries.
  • Basic understanding of Organizational Change Management.
  • Certifications or a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information systems or related field.
